Mike Lubanski is a graduate of nationally ranked (2008, 2009) Malvern Preparatory School, and competed on the national baseball circuit since the age of 13.

The 2009 Gatorade and Louisville Slugger Pennsylvania State High School Baseball Player of the Year, Mike played in several top prospect events during his high school career including the USA Baseball Tournament of Stars (2007, 2008), the East Coast Professional Baseball Showcase (2008), and the Perfect Game National Showcase (2008). A Rawlings Preseason Northeast All-Region selection in 2009, Mike earned First Team All-Area, All-City, and All-League honors as well, and was named Main Line News Player of the Year and Malvern Prep baseball's Most Valuable Player his senior year.

Earning scholarship offers from ACC, SEC, and Conferance-USA college programs, Mike signed a National Letter of Intent with the Demon Deacons of Wake Forest University.
